(Formerly Program for Environmental & Regional Equity):
As a graduate researcher at USC’s PERE/CSII, headed by my dissertation co-chair Manuel Pastor, I worked on several community engaged research projects. I assisted with cleaning large datasets, learned GIS, and trained staff to use Dedoose. I also contributed fact-checking, writing, and research support to various products, including books, academic articles, powerpoints, and public reports. In particular, I contributed to interview protocol design, conducted and analyzed interviews, and wrote and edited reports on healing & self-care in youth-led movements, movement building in California, immigrant asset building, and integrated voter engagement efforts in California.
